Dark Hunger The 'Dark' Carpathian Book 14 eBook Christine Feehan Zid Imaginary Friends Studio

I usually love Christine Feehan's Dark series books, and this book started off so well. I thought the introduction of another species was excellent. But in the end, I was disappointed by this one for two main reasons:
1. The threat of the master vampire just evaporated. Ms. Graham did mention that he would go to ground for a few days, but he should have returned to 'finish' his plan. Certainly in the other books the vampires were more single-minded, so this seemed unlikely that he just conveniently disappeared.
2. My annoyance with this book mostly came from the overly abrupt ending. It was more about the sex between the two main characters, rather than focusing on the merging of two species - how did the two main characters deal with resolving the differences between their two families; how did Juliette deal with her new nutritional requirements, sleeping patterns, sleeping in the earth, etc. Instead the climactic event was way too early and everything was resolved with a sex scene.

Unsatisfactory. But... I love the series, so I'll assume that this was an aberration and move on to the next in the series.

Dark Hunger The 'Dark' Carpathian Book 14 eBook Christine Feehan Zid Imaginary Friends Studio Reviews

This was the greatest Vampire series I have read! Each book took you deeper into the hearts and minds of the Carpathian Race and their struggles to survive. Characters are amazingly real and Feehan lures you into their world so you are able to live the story lines. Amazing series and highly recommended for those that like the Vampire genre.
I really enjoyed reading this graphic novel/Manga depiction of one of my favorite Carpathian novels, Dark Hunger. It was great to see a Carpathian male and his lifemate in action. We also get to see Juliette's jaguar, as well as Solange's, as there is a lot of shapeshifting going on in this book. And of course cute little Jasmine is in it, too. (Who will be her lifemate one day, I wonder?)

I'm kind of chuckling over all the negative reviewers who bought the book, not realizing it is a GRAPHIC NOVEL/MANGA novel. HELLO! Duh! You can tell just by looking at the cover that it's a graphic novel. It was very clear to me that this is a graphic novel (or comic book, for those of you who aren't up to speed on graphic novels). I'm just amazed by the number of people who didn't realize that.

I highly recommend this graphic novel to all Carpathian fans. It's wonderful to see a visual depiction of the Carpathian gifts, of Riordan sleeping in the earth, of Riordan and Juliette taking to the skies, of Riordan taking Juliette's blood, and slashing his chest for her to take his blood, of a vampire attack, and jaguar attack. It was just really nice to see these things portrayed visually for a change. The artwork and action are really well done. I like how they showed Riordan communicating with Juliette over distances with their mental link. And for you parents, you should know that this graphic novel is rated PG, so teens can read it. My 11-year-old daughter loves graphic novels, and there's nothing in here that she couldn't read or see.

The other thing I think I should mention is that the entire book is in black and white - there is no color. I realize that was probably done for economic reasons. But wouldn't it have been amazing if, once Riordan got his colors and emotions back after meeting Juliette, that they had switched from black-and-white to color, to represent the fact that Riordan got his colors back. That would have been really cool. I liked when Riordan referred to his brothers, and there is an image of his brothers in there, although they don't actually show up in the story.

If you like graphic novels and paranormal romance, or if you would like to see some Carpathian loving in action, you will enjoy this book.
Obviously the more tortured, the less heroic, or so Juliette thought after rescuing Riordan De La Cruz. She just wasn't prepared for him. This is a short story that takes us to South America and the . It introduces the jaguar people and sets the foundation for subsequent books in the series with the remaining four brothers, Zacarias (Dark Predator), Rafael (Dark Secret), Manolito (Dark Possession), Nicholas (Dark Curse), and Juliette's cousin, Solange (Dark Peril). The stories of Zacarias, Manolito, and Solange take place in South America, Rafael's in the US, and Nicholas travels back to the Carpathian Mountains to meet his lifemate on what he has decided will be his last night on earth. To a certain extent, Dark Storm (Dax & Riley) could also be considered as part of this continuing storyline in that Jasmine, Juliette, and Riordan are also characters in that book as well as Jubal Sanders and Gary Jensen.

Though not a full-fledged novel, it is necessary to the developing story-line. Not the best Feehan offering, but not the worst either.
i was extremely disappointed to get this book as it is in comic book version. I am an avid reader of Feehan's books and I never (and I mean never) would have purchased this book if I had known that it was in comic book form. I will skip over reading this one in the series (I have ordered nearly all 30 of them and hope the gap in following the characters won't matter much. BEWARE IF YOU ARE READING THIS SERIES AND DON'T WANT A COMIC BOOK VERSION OF DARK HUNGER, DON'T GET THIS!!!!
I loved Riordan and Juliette's story Dark Hunger. When I first read this graphic book/ Manga back in 2007 which is debatable to some reviewers. I had mixed feelings becasue I didn't know what to expect.

However, I loved the Carpathians and Riordan De La Cruz's character is right on the mark. Who doesn't love a Da Le Cruz!! Juliette made the perfect LifeMate. She is intelligent, beautiful, strong, brave and compassionate. Riordan is a De La Cruz what more is there to say, Tall, Dark, handsome and sexy. Riordan like all Carpathian males have tons of paranormal abilities. Fans of the Dark series will know exactly what I mean. It didn't bother me that it was graphic novel or Manga what every you choice to call it. It was a very good fast paced Adrenalin rush. The romance between Riordan and Juliette was very sensuous and romantic. Juliette you lucky girl snagged yourself a Da Le Cruz!!
